Botanical name: Illicium verum                             Habitat: south of China , Vietnam

Plant parts used: Fruits                                         Active ingredients and nutrients: essential oil composed for 90% by anethole, but also estragalus, anisaldehyde and other terpenes. The fruit also contains lignans, tannins

Therapeutic properties: It contains an essential oil made up of 80% by ANETHOLE. It has eupeptic action (stimulates appetite) and stomachic: it helps in difficult digestion, stimulating gastric secretions and peristalsis.
