Weight control is a strategy for keeping us healthy and preventing future diseases. Achieving a healthy weight can help keep cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar under control; it can also help in the prevention of weight-related diseases (heart disease, diabetes, arthritis and some cancers). Eating too much or not practicing enough physical activity can cause weight gain: to maintain an adequate weight, calories ingested must be equivalent to the energy consumed, while to decrease your weight you will need to ingest fewer calories than you consume. Unfortunately, stress and sedentary life lead to taking an unbalanced diet and to favor the accumulation of fluids and body fat, while as we age, the metabolism slows down and burning excess calories becomes increasingly difficult.
GARCINIA is a plant useful in the metabolism of lipids, as it decreases their deposit in adipose tissue and regulates appetite. These actions are due to the presence of an organic acid, the hydroxycitric acid HCA contained in fruit pericarp (peel), which inhibits the production by the liver of the enzyme ATP-CITRATO-LISASI, responsible for the transformation of carbohydrates and proteins in fats. Promotes weight loss and reduction of fat cells. This plant is used in cases of overweight, hypercolestrolemia and hypertriglyceridemia. Useful in case of low-calorie diets to promote weight control and to calm nervous hunger.
