PINEAPPLE

Botanical name: Ananas Sativus                              Habitat: America

Plant parts used: Stem                                             Active ingredients and nutrients: Bromelain

Therapeutic properties: A plant with anti-inflammatory, anti-edema and digestive action. Its effects, due to proteolytic enzymes including BROMELINE, make it ideal in inflammatory and oedematous processes, and in the treatment of water retention and cellulite, as it is able to stimulate diuresis and favour the reabsorption of localized edema. Due to its diuretic properties it is used to lower blood pressure. These enzymes break down large proteins and accelerate digestion. Bromelain also prevents the accumulation of insulin in the blood and therefore the conversion of sugars into fats. It also contains VITAMIN C (about 20 mg per 100g of fruit and CAROTENOIDS responsible for the yellow color of the pulp) and FIBERS, necessary for the regular function of the digestive system.

For prevention and control of: WEIGHT-RELATED DISORDERS– DIABETES AND HYPERGLYCEMIA
