WILLOW BARK(30% SALICINE) : Willow is a plant with anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic properties. These activities are attributable to its content of SALICIN which, once ingested and following intestinal and liver metabolism, is converted into salicylic acid. Salicylic acid carries out its analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activities through the inhibition of the cyclooxygenase enzyme, that is of the enzyme deputed to the transformation of arachidonic acid in prostaglandins responsible for the onset of inflammation, fever and pain. Salicin, therefore, can be considered as a sort of pro-drug. In contrast to the chemical salicin present in common NSAID drugs, the other active ingredients of the phytocomplex significantly reduce the harmful effect that salicin alone would have on the gastric mucosa.

DEVIL'S CLAW with 2,5% ARPAGOSIDE : the plant, present in the European Pharmacopoeia, has ANALGESIC and ANTI-INFLAMMATORY action. It acts as a typical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), but without the typical side effects of this drug category. (Journal Of Ethnopharmacology)

PASSIONFLOWER with 4% FLAVONOIDS-VITEXINE : This plant owes its effect to FLAVONOIDS, including HYPEROSIDE. It promotes sleep and helps with all sleep disorders: awakening, difficulty falling asleep. It is also indicated for stress, nervousness and irritability. A 2001 double-blind study showed that, if taken for 30 days, passionflower reduces anxiety symptoms. It also acts as an antispasmodic, so it relaxes smooth muscles and is useful in case of pain, intestinal spasms or cramps

CHAMOMILLE with 0,3% APIGENINE: Although known as a mild sedative, this plant actually has a strong anti-inflammatory activity on mucous membranes, given by the action of APIGENINE, a flavonoid. It completes its action thanks to two important properties: it is emollient, so it gives relief in case of irritation of the mucosa; it is spasmolytic, that is, it acts as a sedative of the vegetative nervous system, so it stops the contractions and pains of the stomach and intestine.

MARJORAN: In addition to being a well-known aromatic plant, marjoram has important therapeutic properties. It is digestive, antispasmodic, antineural, and pain-relieving, so it is useful in cases of pain associated with problems of the nervous system.

NIACINE: also known as Vitamin PP or Vitamin B3, Niacin has a calming and vasodilatory action on the capillaries. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of migraines and muscle-tension headaches (Prousky and Seely, The treatment of migraines and tnsion-type headaches with intravenous and oral niacin (nicotinic acid): systematic review of the literature, 2005).

LEMON, CHAMOMILLE, LAVENDER AND MINTH ESSENTIAL OIL: : These essential oils, besides giving flavor to the product and promoting digestion, have a soothing and analgesic action thanks to their chemical components.
