It was a morning in August in Madagascar, on the banks of the Mangoro River, near its mouth, when suddenly a pungent and delicate scent of wild berries filled the air. In the distance, a large Bourbon vanilla plantation could be seen. This magical moment inspired me to create a fragrance where tart notes of wild berries, raspberry, and currant are softened and made more persistent with notes of vanilla and musk.

In 1400, Caterina Sforza de' Medici was the first ever writer of perfumed waters, cosmetic recipes, and natural remedies. Thanks to her manuscript "Experimenti," Florence became the world capital of perfume. Dr. Giovanni Di Massimo, renowned pharmacist and perfumer, draws inspiration from that manuscript and from this high-caliber epoch of Florentine perfumery, with the aim of resurrecting and continuing this rich historical legacy.
