ACTIVE INGREDIENTS AND MEDICAL PROPERTIES

LINESEED OIL (75%): Extracted from the seeds of the Linum usitatissimum plant, the oil is rich in compounds with antioxidant action, such as 45% alpha-linoleic acid (ALA), an omega 3 fatty acid precursor of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docohexanoic acid (DHA) . It also contains 30% oleic acid and 15% linoleic acid. It is indicated in cardiovascular diseases because it prevents the formation of atherosclerotic plaques by lowering total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol and by blocking the production of pro-inflammatory factors that contribute to the onset of the aforementioned plaques


OMEGA 3 from LINESEED OIL 75% alfa and gamma LINOLENIC acid: natural triglyceride with ANTI HYPERLIPIDEMIA action. It fights the hardening of arteries and helps to reduce the formation of plaques on arteries,as it promotes the increase of HDL ("good" cholesterol), lipid substances that help to remove the excess of bad cholesterol (LDL) that accumulates in the arteries.In this way it helps blood to maintain the same fluidity, significantly reducing risks of: strokes, emboli and infarcts. LINOLENIC ACID, as a precursor of PROSTAGLANDINS, increases body's defenses and therefore is indicated in all those pathological states characterized by lowering of defenses themselves.

OMEGA 6 are polyunsaturated fatty acids, essential for our diet, because the body cannot synthesize them by itself. The main Omega 6 is γ-linolenic acid, which is converted by our body into PROSTAGLANDINE. These substances fluidize the blood, reduce CHOLESTEROL and increase the body's defenses in a non-specific way. They also have ANTI-ALLERGIC and ANTIPRURIGINOSA action for skin problems such as dryness or dermatitis.
After the age of 40, the body reduces the production of prostaglandins, which causes problems related to the lack of these substances. We recommend the integration of Omega 6 into your diet, so as to rebalance the production of prostaglandins.
Omega 6 are also used to help with joint problems and osteoporosis as they increase bone density, favouring the assimilation of calcium and the deposit of this element in bone tissue. A study by Arthritis Research has shown that the intake of Oenothera oil in a person suffering from rheumatoid arthritis favours the improvement of symptoms, such as pain and morning stiffness.
The use of Omega 6 is also recommended for female problems, like menstrual pain and polycystic ovary syndrome; during pregnancy they are recommended to help tone the uterus, so as to support the mother in childbirth. During pregnancy, it is advised to integrate these fatty acids into the diet as their derivatives are used for the formation of nerve cells and the nervous system of the growing fetus

ASTAXANTINA: more than 50 scientific studies show that astaxanthin is a powerful carotenoid with an antioxidant effect. It prevents cancer, improves eye health, prevents lipid peroxidation and atherosclerosis, improves skin and brain health, and prevents the complications of diabetes mellitus.
A team of researchers from Washington State University conducted a study on natural astaxanthin primarily to test its effect on the human immune response. They tested it on young women in a randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled study. They measured immune markers and DNA damage, oxidative stress, and C-reactive protein levels. The results were positive on all markers. In fact, at a dose of only 2mg per day they found a statistically significant decrease in CRP levels after eight weeks of supplementation (Park, et al, 2010) 2.
No side effects were found in the use of astaxanthin, even in the case of prolonged intake
