Helps maintain physiological sugar metabolism

40 CPR

Food supplement based on vegetable extracts of Zinc, Glutamine, Potassium, Coenzyme Q10, indicated in case of low intake with diet or an increased need for these nutrients. Galega, Chicory and Zinc contribute to the normal metabolism of carbohydrates, while artichoke favors the metabolism of lipids.

The formulation is the result of a careful study that selects plants in order to guarantee the enhanced action of each active ingredient present in the supplement.

ZINC: 12.5 mg per daily dose. Zinc is the cofactor of numerous enzymes, including those used for glycemic regulation. Insulin component is necessary for this hormone’s action and regulates its release after food intake. Food supplementation of Zinc is recommended for those suffering from TYPE II DIABETES (Niewoehner, CB, Allen, JI, Boosalis, M., Levine, AS & Morley, JE (1986) Role of zinc supplementation in type II diabetes mellitus, American Journal of Medicine, Volume 81, issue 1, (pp. 63-68)). It helps the immune system and it is necessary for the release of vitamin A from liver. It has anti-oxidant action and stimulates tissue regeneration.

COENZYME Q10 UBIQUINONE: ANTI-OXIDANT par excellence because it significantly reduces the formation of free radicals and increases body's defenses. In case of chronic diseases, Q10 production  can be reduced and it is therefore recommended to be integrated.

L-GLUTAMINE: It is an amino acid that increases body's natural defenses. It is involved in muscle metabolism and is useful for improving cognitive function in case of stress or mental fatigue. It has been shown to be effective in decreasing blood sugar, resulting in insulin reduction.

GALEGA: It is thought that the name of this plant derives from its galactogenic action: it stimulates, in fact, the milk production. Galega actually owns many properties: it is hypoglycemic, and is used in cases of mild diabetes, because it reduces and keeps down the blood sugar level. It is an effective diuretic and diaphoretic in case of fluid retention and decreased diuresis. It also decreases acidosis

BLUEBERRY (5% ANTOCIANOSIDES): It contains many flavonoids, glycosides, tannins and vitamins (A, B, C). Blueberry, thanks to the action of  anthocyanic glycosides, promotes the regeneration of RODOPSIN, a protein that improves the sight quality. It is therefore used as a sight protector, but also for diabetic retinopathy and for the opacification of the crystalline lens. It acts in two other districts: on the gastrointestinal tract where it protects gastric and esophageal mucosa from acidity or inflammatory states and in case of diarrhea it works as an antibacterial agent; on the circulatory system where it acts to protect capillaries, in case of varicose veins, edema and hemorrhoids. A 2009 study by the University of Michigan showed that blueberry intake improves control of blood sugar levels

ARTICHOKE ( 2,5% CLOROGENIC ACID): Present in the Italian Pharmacopoeia XI edition, it acts as COLETARY (increases the biliary secretion) and hepatoprotector. Thanks to the presence of INULIN, a fiber useful in the regulation of blood sugar level, is used in case of DIABETES. It also has a lipid-lowering effect: both on cholesterolemia, since it inhibits the enzyme responsible for cholesterol biosynthesis; both because it increases HDL, while reducing LDL (Pittler, Thompson, Ernst, Artichoke leaf extract for treating hypercholesterolemia, 2003, Cochrane Database Syst Rev.).Bitter substances give digestive properties to the plant making it useful in case of fermentation, stomach ache, nausea, as well as acting, in synergy with inulin, as hypoglycemic.

CHICORY: Contains inulin, a fiber useful for digestion and intestinal regularity. This fiber arrives at the intestine, where it is fermented by the bacterial flora. It thus turns into fatty acids, including butyrate. These have positive effects on type II diabetes as they regulate the level of blood sugar and cholesterol, an action also favored by bitter principles present in the plant.
