Botanical name: Cupressus Sempervirens                              Habitat: Southern Europe 

Plant parts used: galbuli (small pinecones)                             Active ingredients and nutrients: tannins, essential oil containing: D-camphene, silvestrene, L-cadinene, cedrol (sasquiterpenic alcohol)

Therapeutic properties: The galbuli contain high amounts of TANNINS, substances with astringent power. These give the plant action on the venous system where it determines a powerful vasoconstrictor action. It is used in the case of hemorrhoids as it reduces venous swelling, pain and tenesmus. It is ideal for use in cases of varicose veins and metrorrhagia, uterine pain or menopausal disorders.
